  • Three (3) missing assignments per subject area equals one after school detention per marking period.

English Grammar:  (Grade 6)

• Develop/reinforce the mechanics of grammar and sentence construction
• Incorporate grammar skills to improve writing skills

Language Arts:  (Grade 7)

• Develop active reading, comprehension, and critical thinking skills
• Respond to literature through writing, discussion, and analysis
• Reinforce and apply the mechanics of grammar and sentence construction
• Employ steps of the writing process for writing success
• Develop descriptive, narrative, expository, persuasive, and personal writing skills

English/Writing:  (Grade 8)

• Reinforce and apply the mechanics of grammar and sentence construction
• Employ steps of the writing process for writing success
• Continue to develop descriptive, narrative, expository, persuasive, and personal writing skills

Math:  (Mrs. Belli’s Grade 7 Students)

• Mathematics Course 3 (Holt).  Focus on pre-algebra concepts, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
