Grade 6 Newsletter
February 2010
February has arrived, as well as a new marking period. It is hard to believe that we are already half- way through this year. It seems as if we just started, even though mastering our locks and lockers is old news!
This month will probably speed by, filled with new and exciting experiences and projects. We will be working on a literature analysis for the third marking period, focusing on the genre of Fantasy/Science Fiction.
Each student will be creating a travel brochure based on the characters, setting, and plot of the book chosen. I’m looking forward to the end results, which I know will be creative and well organized.
In My Math class, we have begun working on solving algebraic equations. All is going well. The power point presentations on the polyvision board are a wonderful tool!
In Religion, we are beginning Unit 3, focusing on God’s invitation to us to be full members of his kingdom on earth. The Holy Spirit continues to be a constant presence, providing guidance and support to us all!
